Overview

An ultra-elegant boutique guesthouse in a bucolic setting, Beit Noun is an idyllic destination to unwind and escape the chaos of everyday life. With generous outdoor areas doused in golden sunlight and uninterrupted views of pristine mountains and green valleys as far as the eye can see, this place easily uplifts the spirit and senses.

The story

Nestled among the gorgeous mountains of Mechmech, Beit Noun is the former family home of Edouard and Isabelle Noun dating back to the 1930s. Today, the guesthouse still retains its grand stone façade and its stunning interior is full of warmth featuring art deco accents and heritage touches.

The place

The guesthouse has a lobby, a library and a little café, including an enticing pool with chic terraces to chill and have a drink, like the cosy Le Bistrot de Zahra. Beit Noun is a wonderland of colours and lovely details throughout sensitively orchestrated by famed architect Galal Mahmoud.

The food and products

At Beit Noun authentic Lebanese dishes are served made with fresh seasonal ingredients mainly sourced from the village and surrounding areas. Guests can also take home delicious culinary souvenirs, as the guesthouse sells products produced in Mechmech, such as Arak, honey, jams, zaatar, pickles and more.

The rooms

Beit Noun offers ten gorgeous rooms that are spread across the main house, the garden house and the pool house. Each room is unique with its own colour palette featuring a delightful mix of art deco, Lebanese heritage and French style with a common denominator of comfort and taste. Most of the rooms come with private balconies or terraces with captivating views.

What they say.

Although each room is unique and has a specific colour palette, there are similarities between them. All the furniture has been custom-made and manufactured in Lebanon by talented artisans. It’s a true Lebanese experience, but it is not nostalgic.
