Beit Marsala is not a house: it’s a secret. One of those secrets we preciously keep and only share with curious minds. Leia’s grandfather was one of those: a passionate caver, he was among the founders of the ‘Spéléo-Club du Liban’ (the oldest caving club in the Middle East) and discovered, in 1940, the famous Jeita Grotto—which is located nearby.
Leia is full joy and laughter. She is an artist of many talents. Her mother is a painter and her father is both a painter and a sculptor. She is currently completing her architecture degree at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA). Leia is as creative with a pencil as she is with a paintbrush.
40 minutes from Beirut, 10 minutes from Jounieh and 40 minutes from Faraya lies a 3,000-sqm garden: this is where Leia and her family live, in two old, traditional Lebanese houses, one of which dating back to the 18th century. Pink-painted walls surrounded by trees, spacious rooms filled with bright natural light, sleek interior design… the city seems far away. Yet it is very close.

"We had a wonderful stay at Beit Marsala. Leia and her family impressed with warm hospitality and unexpected generosity. We spent the whole evening in front of the cheminee and felt being part of the family."
