A guest house is generally a private home which has been converted for the dedicated and exclusive use of guest accommodation. The public areas of the establishment are for the exclusive use of the guests. The owner or manager either lives off-site, or in an entirely separate area within the property.

A monastery or convent is constituted of one or several buildings inhabited by monks or religious communities. Those proposed offer accommodations to visitors. As for all accommodations entailing stays within the local population, respecting the traditions and lifestyles is required.

A hotel is generally the largest of all accommodation types. It offers a wide range of guest services and facilities such as one/several restaurants, room service… A charming hotel is distinguished by original or unique characteristics (architecture, history, setting, interior design) It is, in general, of smaller size.
