L’Hôte Libanais and Taste Lebanon join forces with each other in sustaining and valuing peoples’ traditions, know-hows and the specificities that make them feel at home where they are. It is through this human story that we believe we can represent Lebanon’s true hospitality.

L’Hôte Libanais offers accommodations across Lebanon through a bed and breakfast concept which places the warm encounter with the country’s inhabitants at the forefront of the travellers’ experience. The travellers are therefore received in the host’s home as friends having travelled across long distances. This profoundly personal experience is far removed from standardized deals, and breeds the opportunity for hosts and guests to share stories and for the newcomers to learn the regions’ particularities and its everyday life.  What is more, the majority of the accommodations are only  available for reservation through L’Hôte Libanais’ network, which enables L’Hôte Libanais to know its guests better and offer personalized guidance and advice.

Taste Lebanon is a boutique culinary tour founded by Bethany Kehdy, a culinary explorer, presenter and author of the award-winning cookbook "The Jewelled Kitchen" with the aim to provide rare opportunities for travelers to meet with locals across the country, in homes, villages, fields as both visitors and local Lebanese learn the knowledge and stories behind the culinary specialities and traditions of Lebanon. The tours take small groups of guests on either a one-day ramble through Beirut’s best yet little-known culinary spots, or on longer journeys where participants can deepen their appreciation of the Lebanese food heritage in authentic and intimate settings. While the week-end escapes take travellers for a three day meandering along the coast, sampling the different seasonal delights, the seven-day tours venture around six different regions for guests to savour each particular local dish and participate in the ancestral process of producing them. Like L’Hôte Libanais, Taste Lebanon tours value and support the identity and integrity of the places visited. This is why groups do not include more than 8 people at a time in order to foster strong connections between guests, local producers and hosts.
